¤Arcayne¤
Arcayne walked along, scouting out his new surroundings. He had just left the nests with no one at his side save for his shadow. It's strange... He thought to himself ...I was the first to be born, and the first to go. He smiled at the thought. He felt brave, but he wasn't ignorant. It was his first time in a new place, and who knows what kind of dangers could be lurking in the shadows.
As he walked, he was silent, listening to and watching everything. In a short while, he came upon a large body of...what was it again? Water! He smiled as he remembered and walked toward it, knowing by the aura of the place that it held no danger. He dipped his head to the cool clear water and drank until he could no more, then sat down and gazed across to the opposite bank.
He looked around, listening to the silence of the area. He lifted his nose to the sky and scented the air, searching for other signs of life. At that moment, his stomach growled. Arcayne leapt into the air growling, but then realized it had been him who had made the noise. He smiled sheepishly, and if he had been able to blush he would have. He looked down at his stomach and sighed. I need food...

SilverStorm was flying over the land her large wing span casting a shadow over the land. Up, down, up, down her wings beat in a rhythm. She let her gaze wander over the land not really looking for anything. She had needed to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the castle and what better way than to take a visit to the nest. That was what she had said to get away and the felt that this was really what she needed, the joy and fun of youth. But as she angled down with the nest in view a small dragon alone caught her gaze and with out really meaning to she moved into a steeper dive heading for him.
She landed on the bank near him and smiled softly. "Hello. I'm SilverStorm. You are?" Her voice was pure and sweet. At one time you could tell that her scales had been bright and shiny but years had dimmed her scales. This was water did to her, dimming her scales yet the silver dragon loved the water and seeing the lake brought this in her and made her way into the lake and walked in. She turned and faced the young dragon once more to wait for his answer.

Arcayne stepped backwards as the large dragon landed on the bank. He tilted his head as he looked over her powerful form, and a slight grin spread across his face. He dipped his head to the ground in a sort of bow to respect her, then straightened up and looked her over once again. He was awestruck by the power she held. He remembered Mother Jade saying something...This must be Lady SilverStorm...
Greetings, powerful one. My name is Arcayne, and I have just come from the nests. He paused for a moment as he thought about what else to say to the adult female dragon. If I am not mistaken...I believe you are Lady SilverStorm. Would I be correct in assuming that? He sat back and watched her wade into the water as he waited for her response.
At that moment his stomach growled again, and his eyes shot up to hers, filled with embarrasment. He tried to hold back a nervous laugh and said, Oh...uh...excuse me for that...I haven't really eaten much since I hatched. He looked away for a moment and shook his head, then turned back to her with a slight grin on his face.

Storm smiled softly at the young dragon. "Yes you are correct I am Lady SilverStorm." She looked around at the calm land, the place as so peaceful; it was a land that seemed as if no harm would or ever could come. That was why this had been picked to house the young and growing dragons before the felt ready to travels to the rest of Cassapeia where danger after danger lurked for any dragon. Her gaze feel back to the young dragon as he stated the he needed food as he had not had anything for a while. "Do not feel ashamed for that young Arcayne." She smiled at the other before looking around. "There are no hunting grounds here but if you want we may travel to the nearest hunting lands and I can give you a lesion."
It was a high honor to be taught by SilverStorm, but she was pleased to pass on what she new to the young ones. She looked back down at Arcayne and waited for his answer, hoping he would say yes for this was something the lady loved to do.

Arcayne looked slightly taken aback. Me? Taught by Lady SilverStorm? He thought to himself. He stood up once again and walked to the water's edge as he thought about it. I would be honored to be taught how to hunt by you Lady Silverstorm. We would be flying right? He inquired. I am...fairly confident in my own flying abilities. Though he had flown only once as of yet, it had gone extremely well. Afterall, he was an Adamantite dragon, which was one of the most excelent fliers in Draconic world.
He looked around at his surroundings once more with a sigh. He truly was happy to be out in the real world, where he could learn about his own legacy and become...something...though he wished that his nest mates had come with him. I wonder if any more eggs have hatched since I left... There was one dragon he had been happy to leave however, and that was Tsarr, the evil alliance Viper Drake. He shook his head unhappily as he thought about Tsarr, but he shrugged it off as he thought about Clearheart, Galzerth, Insomniatic, Saphira, Streamsong, and finally Red Storm. He sighed once again and looked back up to Lady SilverStorm, awaiting her reply to his question.

SilverStorm smiled again, she smiled a lot for she felt that with out smiles there was nothing. If a time came when no one smiled any more it would be a sad time indeed. So she did all she could to keep smiling and hopeful others would follow her lead as thye did on the battle field or in the council chamber. She shook her head a little as the young dragon asked a question about flying. "Oh yes we will be flying! I can show you the joys of the sky the thrill of a dive. The passion of the kill. For we are killers, born to feed and to live, the feel the blood run down your throught as you bask in the glory of the kill." She paused and looked down at Arcayne. "But all ways remember, we have a heart and a soul as well, when we kill we feel the life leave are pray. This is what sets us apart from all others, from the evil alliance. From common predators."
Energy seemed to come of the great silver dragon as she spoke the old laws to Arcayne. It seemed as if all was bending in close to hear her words to feel the power of old, to maybe find the secret. "Come Arcayne! Lets us move to the air and do as we are distained to know and do!" She cried and with power that one day young Arcayne would hold she jumped into the air and spread her wings, a truly magnificent site for any to behold.

Arcayne smiled as he listened to her words of wisdom and spread his large wings, then leapt into the air, somewhat struggling at first, but then finally getting to a good height off of the ground. He hovered a good distance from her so that he wouldn't get in the way. He watched her powerful form suspended in the air, and listened the rythmic flapping of her wings. He looked around as he hovered there, at all that was below him. He flew up above the tree tops and looked at the surrounding area. Wow...this place is amazing... He said quietly to himself.
He was certain that he looked positivly ridiculous, having not truly learned the proper flying form. His legs and tail were all held incorrectly, making it difficult for him to fly in any simple manner, but he didn't care. He just loved being in the air. Something about flying...it excited all of his senses, and almost distracted is mind entirely. He looked over at SilverStorm, deeply anticipating their flight to who knows where. If they were going hunting, what exactly would she teach him?

SilverStorm shot into the air, her great wings molding the air to her fitting as she joined the never ending expanse of blue. She looked down and watched as young Arcayne came up after her, as he struggled a little in the new interment. He had large wings, when he came of full size his wing span would supers even hers. She heard his words and smiled a large toothy smile. "This, my young dragon, is our world!" She said to him, she did not tell him of his stance of the air, this was something that all dragons must find out on there own, something that they must learn and explore. Storm watched his for a second longer before turning her body the way she had come.
"Come Arcayne! Follow me!" Id he watched her fly, he would learn amazing things about the sky and many ways of flying that other know nothing about. It was rare for the queen of all the dragon to take a young one under her wing. All young dragon found a mentor something in there life but it had been a long time since Lady SilverStorm had taken one on. In fact it had been a long time since there had been young dragons to teach. She looked about her shoulder to make sure he was doing ok before taking higher to the sky.

Arcayne grinned happily as he finally found his balance, and he listened to her words as he continued to let his gaze flow over the landscape. He then looked back to SilverStorm, his eyes flashing with excitement. He watched her for a while, studying her motions, perfecting his own stance in the air. He soon had his legs held perfectly, and his wings were flapping easily and rythmically, the air currents helping him to stay up with his developing muscles. I can learn so much from her... He thought to himself.
As he listened to her call, Arcayne eagerly surged forward, following at a quick and steady pace. He was genuinely surprised that such a great dragon was allowing him to fly with her. After all, there was nothing truly special about him...was there? Sure, he had been born first...left the nest first...even flown first. But other than that, there was nothing else about him that was even close to spectacular. He wouldn't stop her from teaching him however, he would take the teaching with a strong, eager, ready-to-learn mind. He knew that it must be a great honor to be taught by the Lady of Cassapeia.

SilverStorm saw that the young dragon had changed, even in the few second she had looked away he was all ready flying far better then most his age. She smiled and used her great silver tail to turn in the air, altering her direction just a little bit. Every movement of her body altered her flight a little, some times in great ways and other time subtle ways. All the while she led the young dragon farther from the safety of the nest lands in to the wild lands of Cassapeia. Her pace was slow, but there was no rush, no pressing matter that called to hurry. The wind was on there side on this bright day and carried them all the while. Storm let the wind guide her; she had no dictation in mind, but would let fate lead her where it would.
Ever once in a while the great silver dragon would look over her shoulder to see young Arcayne following after her. She knew that this young dragon had to full of wonder for being asked to join her in flight and hunt. This he must wonder what he had done to gain this honor of being taught by her. Deep down Storm was not sure what he drove her to do this, what had called her to picked him. She knew that some deeper power was at work here, gears and grinds working around the clock to bring about some hidden thing.

Arcayne followed her, mocking her movements, exploring his body and what he could accomplish with it. He kept the same speed as she did, and he flew slightly higher so that he didn't get in her way. Each tail twitch helped him to go up, down, side to side, anywhere he wanted to. Every once in a while he would stop and look down a the ever changing scenery. Arcayne was deeply impressed by it, after all, he had originally thought that it was all like the nests and surrounding forests. This was clearly not the case. There were rolling plains, numerous lakes, and in the distance he could see something that looked dark and deadly, something which he would eventually learn was called Ambrosia.
As he looked at the mountain chain, he glared slightly and subconciously growled to himself. Those mountains gave him the same hateful feeling he had felt when he had met Tsarr. This of course was merely his true Adamantite breed showing again. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and went back to manouvering his body through the air.
